Sour worm poem

This is my Sour worm poem and all the senses we used:

We were studying the lollies so that we could use our five senses:
Hear:
Crystal Crunch
Rustling
See:
Soft shimmering
Colours
Feel:
Sandpaper
Ruff
Potholes on a road
Long
Taste:
Sour
Bittersweet
Gummy
Tangy
Smell:
Sweet
Yummy

Ancient egyptians

This is me as a egyptian person.
The photo is from Face in the hole.

I know:
I know that the heart was weighed against a pure ostrich feather. If the heart was heavier than the feather Ammit, a crocodile, lion, hippo, would eat the heart and the person would not go to the afterlife.

I know that when people were mummified they were put into tombs with their riches and had a heart amulet to protect their heart.

I wonder:
I wonder why people were mummified instead of buried, why were people people put in tombs with their riches.

I wonder why people spent lots of riches on making their tombs really nice. Was it a tradition or did it make them respected.

E-mail at school

When you have an E-mail at school rules:

1. Always be kind - what would your Grandma say?

2. Check:

     - Sense?

     - Spelling?

     - Punctuation?

3. Only open E-mails from people you know and trust.

4. Delete any spam.

5. Always put a topic in the subject line so you know what is important.

Having an E-mail - 

• For learning only.
• Inappropriate words are sent to carol - our ICT teacher.
• Teachers can see all your E-mails.

Hi, my name is Frida, 

I am a year six this year, 2018.

Some things I really like to do...

• Ride my horse at Bottle lake and West melton forest park.
• Read books, my favorite is The school for good and evil.
• I like to write about horses, wild and tamed.
• Play with my dogs, Pippi and Ngaio.
• I really like to cook for my family and friends.

I love to visit my Great-grandma and Grandmas' in Canada, but I like it in New Zealand as well. I really like to go up to Kaikoura to visit my horse's brother and her nephew.

All in two minutes, Poem

All in two minutes, By Frida (10)
Glistening pearls,
along the ocean shores.
Waves whispering songs as sweet as honey.                        
whispering winds,
rustling trees.
Birds calling,
soft-footed deer.
sure-footed goats,
climbing sheer cliffs of Aotearoa.
All in one minute,
this can all happen, lets see another minute,
to get that feeling of adrenaline.
birds are feeding chicks,
high in native forests.
people collecting pearls, bones, stones and shells.
deer graze in small groups of five and six,
goats find little crags with grass,
sheltered from the rising storm.
Winds growing storger,

a storm,
a storm is coming.
shelter all you animals and birds,
from a storm that is still rising,
the winds are howling in fury now
But, BUT, BUT,
the storm is over!
