All in two minutes, Poem

All in two minutes, By Frida (10)
Glistening pearls,
along the ocean shores.
Waves whispering songs as sweet as honey.
whispering winds,
rustling trees.
Birds calling,
soft-footed deer.
sure-footed goats,
climbing sheer cliffs of Aotearoa.
All in one minute,
this can all happen, lets see another minute,
to get that feeling of adrenaline.
birds are feeding chicks,
high in native forests.
people collecting pearls, bones, stones and shells.
deer graze in small groups of five and six,
goats find little crags with grass,
sheltered from the rising storm.
Winds growing storger,

waves growing higher,
a storm,
a storm is coming.
shelter all you animals and birds,
from a storm that is still rising,
the winds are howling in fury now
But, BUT, BUT,
the storm is over!

  1. Hi Frida: we enjoyed your poem. You did an excellent job of encapsulating two minutes of time in nature during a storm. How long did it take you to plan the poem? Looking forward to seeing you very soon. Hugs, Grandma Lorna

  2. Hi Grandma Lorna, We have sent your amazing granddaughter off on her trip to see you. We love that you can see her work and comment all the way from Canada. I know that Frida is going to have lots to write about after visiting you.
